P.S. We're taking a break over Easter, so we've packed in a few extra events to keep you covered while we're away.

School holidays are almost here, and we've got you sorted. We've pulled together a mix of Easter events and holiday activities across the Inner West, from long weekend outings to creative workshops, last-minute bookings and drop-in options.

🏠 Home of the Week 🏘

Curved white render, an arched entry, towering cacti and a palm out front, this one turns heads before you walk in the door. The two-level home has floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking a mineral pool, a kitchen running Taj Mahal quartzite, Calacatta Viola marble and a full Miele suite, plus a butler's pantry. Four bedrooms all with ensuites, a master with balcony and gas fireplace, a striking pink bathroom and a wellness room with sauna. Tesla battery storage and Control 4 automation throughout. Steps from the Bay Run. That pink bathroom alone would make me want to move it.

🐣 Skip the Supermarket Eggs and Shop Local This Easter 🍫

Easter egg prices are up, sizes are down, and shrinkflation is everywhere. So instead of grabbing a last-minute supermarket egg, why not buy your chocolate from a local maker this year?

The Inner West is home to some brilliant chocolatiers and small-batch producers crafting handmade eggs, truffles and Easter treats…the kind that actually taste like proper chocolate.

Here are a few Inner West spots worth visiting for your Easter haul.

City of Sydney

City of Sydney Expands Late-Night Entertainment Precincts

More than 5,000 businesses across 20+ areas could benefit under new City of Sydney proposals to expand Special Entertainment Precincts, designed to boost nightlife and support hospitality venues. The plan would allow businesses in designated precincts to trade later, access liquor licence fee discounts, and host live music or performances with fewer planning barriers.

New or expanded precincts include Harris Street in Ultimo, parts of Chippendale and Oxford Street, along with tier upgrades that could unlock even later trading hours in areas like The Rocks, Redfern and Surry Hills. The proposal will now move to the NSW Government before community consultation begins.

Inner West Council

Have Your Say on Parramatta Road Corridor Plan

Inner West residents are being asked to share their views on the future of the Parramatta Road Corridor, with plans underway to deliver up to 8,000 new homes across the Inner West precinct. Inner West Council is working with the NSW Government on a state-led rezoning proposal, which will consider housing, affordable housing, open space, transport, retail opportunities and improved public spaces along the corridor.

Notably, the investigation area now extends beyond Parramatta Road itself into nearby residential streets, including parts of Leichhardt, Lewisham, Petersham, Stanmore, Annandale and Camperdown, raising concerns among some residents about potential impacts on local neighbourhoods and heritage areas.

Community feedback closes 1 April 2026.

Have Your Say on Camperdown Park’s Future

Inner West Council is seeking community feedback on a draft 10-year Plan of Management and Master Plan for Camperdown Park. Proposed improvements include an all-abilities playground, a cultural hub for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, restoration of the war memorial, and better park access from Australia Street.

Feedback is open until 7 May 2026, with an in-person drop-in session on 18 April at the park.
