Kalimna is a Victorian, restored inside, with the fireplaces, rosewood skirtings and architraves all kept. There's a conservatory under a domed ceiling. The kitchen is Miele, with an induction cooktop and steam oven. Outside, a solar-heated pool, an electric-heated spa and a pool studio with DA approval to become a guest retreat. Both upstairs bathrooms have underfloor heating, and the gardens run on a five-zone irrigation system. It goes to auction with a $5.5 million guide. I can't even begin to tell you how badly I want a sunroom. Let alone one the size of my entire house.

That Glebe Terrace With the Strata Warning Was Back, and Then Gone Again

A three-bedroom terrace at 8 Griffin Place, near Blackwattle Bay, was doing the rounds again, a year after its owners first advertised it with an ad about their strata scheme rather than the house. This time the asking price was $999,999. "Buy the dream... inherit the nightmare," the description said. The price, it said, included an advanced diploma in strata law and thousands of pages of meeting minutes. Buyers were told to skip the usual pre-purchase checks and read every set of minutes before signing. The sale listing has since gone, though the terrace is still advertised for rent.
