🏗️ Sydney’s Newest Inner West Suburb Takes Shape 🌊

A new government authority has been launched to oversee the transformation of Bays West, the huge harbourfront precinct around Glebe Island and White Bay Power Station. Plans for the site include up to 8,500 homes, new parks and waterfront access, plus affordable and essential worker housing, all just minutes from the CBD and Metro West.

The government also confirmed the area will eventually receive a brand-new suburb name, the first major suburb created this close to Sydney’s CBD in decades. An international design competition is now underway to help shape the future look and identity of the precinct.

🏠 Home of the Week 🏘

A proper Queen Anne Federation home on a rare 1,043sqm elevated block in Dobroyd Point, with city skyline views and a layout that works well for a family. The bones are intact: marble fireplaces, timber floors and a bay-windowed master suite. With a new stone kitchen fitted with Smeg and Liebherr appliances, two renovated bathrooms and a heated mineral pool out back. There's also a converted attic, a covered deck and a double garage. The Bay Run is a short walk away.
