Next Steps for new Richard Murden Reserve Playground

🛝 Between April and June 2024, IWC consulted residents and community groups to develop a new inclusive playspace for the reserve, using this feedback along with the NSW Everyone Can Play guidelines to create a draft plan. Now, IWC is presenting the design that reflects this input and seeking confirmation from the community on whether they've accurately captured their needs and desires. View the draft plan here and have your say. Feedback closes 3 October 2024.

Steel Park, Marrickville - dog off-leash proposal

IWC is proposing a new dog off-leash area at Steel Park in Marrickville, specifically on field number 2 adjacent to the PCYC (see map here). The proposal allows dogs off-leash at all times except during organised sporting activities, games, or events on any field. If implemented, this change would prompt further consultation regarding dog off-leash arrangements at Mahoney Reserve, emphasizing additional education for dog owners using the park.

IWC is proposing a new dog off-leash area at Steel Park in response to a 109-signature petition and a Council resolution on 25 June 2024 to conduct community consultation on the matter. Complete the online survey here by 27 October 2024.
