📜 History Week: Annandale Foreshore Parkland Tour: This tour will highlight the Marking of Time of this area highlighting the overlapping layers of history with stories that will tease apart and weave together the complex history of this parkland by exploring the themes of reclamation, recreation, transportation, industrialisation, dereliction, revitalisation, urbanisation and naturalisation. 10 AM to 12 PM - Johnston Street, Annandale
🥳 Balmain School Fun Fair and Art Extravaganza: 2017 Archibald Prize Winner, Mitch Cairns has lent his expertise to curate the Balmain Public School bi-annual art extravaganza, which will feature award-winning art by some of Australia's most celebrated artists, including previous winners of the Archibald, Sulman, Brett Whiteley and Doug Moran Art prizes. The art will be open to the public for bidding in a silent auction. 🎨 Glebe Art Walk & Plein Air Painting: Paint, draw, or sketch 'en plein air' on the beautiful Glebe foreshore! The art walk is a free event and you can register on the day under the fig trees down on the water at the end of Glebe Point Road. Bring your own art supplies, easels, and a chair or rug. 🗣 Opera in the Pub @ The Harold: Opera in a pub? You heard right! Join Opera Bites for “Singing for your Supper”. From milkmaids to magicians, princesses to pageboys, smugglers to servants, everyone in opera has a job – or at least they appear to (some characters only pretend to have a job or their ‘job’ is a front for some illegal activity – usually to get the girl).
