Burwood Chinatown

Burwood Chinatown offers authentic Asian street food with over 50 hawker-style eateries featuring dishes from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and beyond. It’s popular with families and kids love the onsite playground. There are outdoor night market stalls that operate Thursday through Sunday evenings. From charcoal-grilled skewers and hand-pulled noodles to hotpot and artisan soufflés, there's something to satisfy every craving.

Council News

The Fairer Future Plan is Inner West Council's alternative housing strategy that concentrates new homes around town centres and transport hubs, rather than implementing the NSW Government's Housing Reforms. Council is seeking community feedback on the plan through drop-in sessions held on weekday evenings and Saturdays in each ward, with the consultation period running until 6 July 2025.

Inner West Theatre Company presents the acclaimed bio-musical following Peter Allen's remarkable rise from an 11-year-old singing in country pubs to becoming an international star discovered by Judy Garland.

This energetic production features Allen's beloved hits including "I Go to Rio", "Tenterfield Saddler," and "I Still Call Australia Home" in a celebration of one of Australia's most iconic entertainers.
