Inner West Council News
Eight new public artworks to be installed along the GreenWay
The GreenWay Public Art program includes eight new site-specific artworks which transform the urban green corridor. The works will be located from Dulwich Hill down to Gadigal Reserve in Lewisham and will be launched in 2025 along with the rest of the GreenWay Missing links in-corridor works. There will be a mix of sculpture, murals, interactive and functional pieces. You can head to the GreenWay Public Art page to hear more from each artist and learn about their work.
Iron Cove Precinct - Improving safety and calming traffic
Council is undertaking a traffic review and developing a plan to manage traffic and improve safety in the Iron Cove precinct. Local knowledge of walking, riding bikes and driving in the neighbourhood is highly valuable to this work. Council would like to hear from schools, residents, business owners, visitors, and workers in the Iron Cove Precinct. People living with a disability are encouraged to participate. To better understand barriers and challenges, they’re inviting feedback to inform the development of the plan. People with lived experience of disability, family, carers, service providers and organisations are encouraged to provide feedback and share their experiences. You can have your say by completing a survey, attending a roundtable workshop, or contacting us directly. Survey closes Tuesday 17 September.
Sydney’s bold vision to lead Australia’s economic future
From extending light rail and revitalising local streets to supporting green tech and Indigenous enterprises, discover the key moves that will shape our city. CoS is planning for a Sydney that leads Australia’s economic future with a bold 10-year vision.
